Though, as hookahs reach into mainstream media more than ever we’re going to have to educate the public on their history and true purpose.  In all of the pictured movies the hookahs are tied in with paraphernalia in some fashion, a stereotype most hookah smokers would rather avoid.

A Quick Reminder:  These hookahs are not being used as intended and it will be up to you, as a fan of the tradition, to educate those around you.  Hookahs will continue to spread rapidly throughout newer media as their popularity grows – and will hopefully be recognized as the powerful social tradition they are.
